Key Updates from the Autumn Budget

The Autumn Budget, announced on 30th October, introduced several changes for employers, effective April 2025 – the following are ones which we know will affect you:

  • Employers’ NIC rate will rise to 15%.

  • The secondary threshold will reduce to £5,000.

  • The Employment Allowance increases to £10,500, alongside changes to eligibility thresholds.

  • National Living Wage and National Minimum Wage will increase.

Upcoming Changes and Reminders

  • Tax Code and Student Loan Notices: employers can now choose to receive these digitally via PAYE accounts.

  • Payrolling Benefits: Starting April 2026, payrolling benefits in kind will become mandatory. We are already prepared for our clients and our systems are updated.
